To add a little indulgence to our Protein Pancakes we wholeheartedly recommend these recipes for toppings. Perfect for weekend mornings or an afternoon snack when you're looking for something to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Berry Coulis

What you need:

  • 1 Cup of fresh or frozen berries (we used a mix of raspberries and strawberries)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Organic Rice Malt Syrup (or honey or maple syrup) 

Method:

  • Add berries to a blender (or use a stick blender/barmix) and puree till smooth. 
  • Transfer mix to a small saucepan and add Rice Malt Syrup. Heat on low heat for 3-4 minutes. 
  • Pour over pancakes and serve with fresh berries and coconut flakes.

 Rich Chocolate Cacao Topping

What you need:

  • 3 Tbs Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tbs Cacao Powder
  • 2 Tbs Organic Rice Malt Syrup (or real Maple Syrup)

Method: 

  • Add all three ingredients to a small saucepan and heat on low to gentle combine. 
  • Pour over pancakes and serve with chopped banana or fresh berries

 

Peanut Caramel Topping

What you need:

  • 3 Tbs of 100% Peanut Butter (we used crunchy)
  • 3 Tbs of Organic Rice Malt Syrup (or real Maple Syrup) 
  • 1 Tbs of Coconut Oil

Method:

  • Add all three ingredients to a small saucepan and heat on low to gently combine. 
  • Pour over pancakes and serve with mashed or chopped banana and a sprinkle of roasted peanuts.  

 

Natural Yoghurt and Fresh Fruit

What you need:

  • 3 spoons of Natural Yoghurt (or Coconut Yoghurt for non-dairy)
  • Fresh Blueberries
  • Sliced Banana or any fresh fruit of your choice

Method:

  • Serve your KOJA Protein Pancake stack with natural yoghurt
  • Add fresh fruit and enjoy - a simple and healthy option, great for kids too.
